The Mobile Catering Industry Association has announced it will refurbish its business with 1.3 million square foot of space at the new Kwik-E-Mart in suburban Kansas City.
The Kwik E-Mart store in suburban St. Louis will be converted into a mobile catering business, according to a press release from the MCA.
The company will sell food from its food trucks, catering services and a range of other products to local and national food retailers.
The move is a step toward building out the Kwik and Kmart brand.
Last month, the MCCA unveiled plans to create a food-and-service chain in St. Charles, Missouri, with plans to open by fall of 2020.
The new store is expected to open in 2019.
